# Account and Checkout

Checkout requires an MCAssets account so purchases can be tied to the correct customer and product access record.

## Account requirements

Use a real email address you can access. MCAssets uses your account email for authentication, order lookup, support, and payment-related help.

Your profile should include a first and last name before checkout. Payment and legal records use the derived full name, while public account display can use your username.

## Checkout flow

1. Add products to the cart.
2. Sign in when prompted.
3. Complete any required profile fields.
4. Continue to hosted checkout.
5. Return to MCAssets after payment.
6. Open the order confirmation page to access purchased items.

Hosted checkout is handled by the payment provider. MCAssets does not store card details.
